Post Office Bay, located on Floreana Island, is the world's most unusual post office, where a unique system of sending mail is operated. In the 18th century, it was a stop for whalers crossing the ocean and the seamen came up with a creative way to get letters to their families: by erecting a barrel on the island where they left their mail for other passing sailors to deliver. This unusual system still works today, used by thousands of tourists. If you head in the same direction as the mail, you can collect it and deliver it.
