Osborn Islet, located near Española Island, to the southeast of Gardner Bay, was named after Henry Fairfield Osborn, a famous American zoologist and paleontologist. A fantastic spot for swimming and snorkeling due to its very calm waters, the islet is accessible only by panga. Besides the diversity of multi-colored tropical fish, you can observe, like Angelfish, Parrotfish, butterflyfish, you can also see various species of sharks, green pencil urchins and manta rays. If you’re lucky, you’ll be swimming with Galapagos sea lions as well, as they’ve been spotted here regularly.
