Las Tintoreras, located on the Isabela Island, south of Puerto Villamil, is a group of tiny islets where the largest one is just 900m long and 100m wide. It is one of the most visited places on the island and it gets its name from the white tip sharks you can see swimming in the crystal-clear water, known as tintoreras. With a terrain made of lava rocks, it's the perfect spot to observe marine iguanas, sea lions, Galapagos penguins and marine turtles. Access is easy and you can reach Las Tintoreras by taking a panga ride.
