La Lobería, located on the south-west coast of San Cristobal Island, is famous for its gorgeous white-sand beach and the crystal clear water sprinkled with jet black lava rocks, that is sometimes teeming with sea lions. It even gets its name from them (sea lions = lobos marinos in Spanish). You have to keep a safe distance from them, as they tend to get territorial. Along the trail, you can also spot marine iguanas, lava lizards, frigate birds and various types of finches. It is a great site for swimming, snorkeling, but also for surfing.
