The Interpretation Center Gianny Arismendi is located in San Cristóbal Island, and its purpose is to offer a thorough history of Galapagos and giving an insight into the unique wildlife and habitats of the islands. Its name was given in honor of Gianni Arismendi Guerrero, a park ranger on San Cristóbal, for his 27 years of work and devotion to environmental education. You can see fascinating exhibits covering various topics: the human history in Galapagos and the efforts to preserve natural habitats, the geology of Galapagos and its origins linked to volcanic activity, natural history.
