Espumilla Beach is located on Santiago Island, at the northern edge of James Bay. It is a beautiful golden sandy beach, bordered by dense green Palo Santo and mangrove forests. It is a great site for swimming and snorkeling, and you can encounter green turtles, sharks, rays and even octopuses. There's a trail you can follow from the beach that takes you to a vivid green lagoon, where you can spot pin-tail ducks and pink flamingos. You'll also be able to see Galapagos hawks and pelicans in the area, and marine turtles use this beach as a nesting site.
