Dragon Hill, locally known as Cerro Dragon, is located on the north-western coast of Santa Cruz Island. It is a small rocky hill, famous for being home to a large population of Galapagos land iguanas, hence its name. The local Charles Darwin Research Station is working with the Galapagos park service in order to preserve this miniature dragon species. This site offers one of the longest trails in Galapagos, passing through a desert-like scenery, Palo Santo trees and forests of cacti. The view from the summit will make the trip worth it.
