Cousins Rock, located north-east of Santiago Island, is one of the most famous diving sites in Galapagos. There is an impressive diversity of wildlife teeming above and below the water. On top of the rock you can watch sea lions, blue-footed boobies, pelicans and penguins. Below the sea, you can admire large schools of salema fish, green sea turtles, rays, Galapagos sea horses and even octopi. The underwater rocks, forming a breathtaking wall dropping down to the bottom, are covered with black coral, one of the few places where you can observe this endemic species.
